2 and a Half Men

 Extremely popular television shows such as the most watched comedy sitcom of 2010, Two and a Half Men, have an impact on the economy nation wide. Two and a Half Men has an average of 15.2 million viewers. With major sponsors that average $207, 000 per advertisement, is generated $155,1 million in CBS ad revenue. These ads are watched by millions of viewers nation wide, who are influenced to make purchases the different products and services that are portrayed in the commercials. The funds from these purchases are going to naturally be spread out through the economy to the people who manufacture and provide services for the different companies who purchase commercial time on the TV show. It also has the effect of making the individual producers, directors, actors, and production assistants very wealthy. These people employed by the TV show then go on to spend their money through out the economy on houses, cars, traveling, clothes, ,restaurants, and many other retail items. The success and popularity of Two and a Half Men would also contribute to the success of cable companies locally.The popularity of the actors such as Charlie Sheen also sells millions of celebrity magazine which in turn sell millions of dollars of ads in their pages and employe thousands of employees. This has a similar effect of the TV commercial ads because it helps encourage purchases and many retail stores.
